Rafaela Mateus é Professora Adjunta Convidada no Departamento de Engenharia Civil do ISEL. Desde 2019 desempenha funções no Laboratório Nacional de Engenharia Civil (LNEC), onde atualmente é Investigadora Auxiliar no Departamento de Edifícios. 
Doutorada em Engenharia Mecânica, desenvolve a sua atividade de investigação nas áreas de ventilação natural, termodinâmica e mecânica de fluidos, mecânica de fluidos computacional e eficiência energética de edifícios.

Rafaela Mateus is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at ISEL. Since 2019, she has been working at the National Laboratory for Civil Engineering (LNEC), where she is currently a Assistant Research in the Buildings Department.
She holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and conducts research in the fields of natural ventilation, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics, computational fluid dynamics, and building energy efficiency.
