BIP - Blended Intensive Programmes

BIP - Blended Intensive Programmes were created by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union to bring internationalisation in education to all students, regardless of their background, field of study, or academic level. Typically, these programmes consist of a virtual component, with variable duration, and a physical component, hosted by a foreign higher education institution (HEI), lasting one week.

BIPs are characterised by their innovative teaching methods, the interdisciplinary nature of the teams, and their emphasis on addressing the most pressing challenges of the modern world.

At ISEL, through the Euclides network, students have access to a wide range of topics and destinations. The BIPs organised each academic year can be checked here. Generally, the physical component takes place at the beginning of March. Applications open in January, but those interested in participating are advised to send an email to the International Office in advance. Financial support is available to cover travel and accommodation expenses.

A maximum of five students per BIP is permitted.

Teaching staff may also participate by delivering modules as part of programmes organised by partner HEIs. The International Office is responsible for coordinating between ISEL and the other network partners.

In the 2024/25 academic year, ISEL will organise its first BIP, under the theme "Green Engineering for a Brighter Future". ISEL students, both undergraduate and master’s level, are also eligible to participate.
