Silvério João Crespo Marques holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from ISEL, a degree in Industrial Production Engineering from FCT-UNL, a Master and Doctor in Mechanical Engineering from IST and an International Welding Engineer from ISQ.

He is a professor in the Departmental Area of Mechanical Engineering at ISEL and teaches the Curricular Units of Welding Technology and Numerical Methods.

The areas of interest and Research are the Processes and Intelligent Control of Position and Force of Manipulating Robots and Open-Source tools for automated solution of PDEs using Finite-Elements (FEniCS).
