Description:
Water is essential for all living beings’ survival. The absence of liquids throughout the day affects well-being and may cause health problems. Therefore, it is important to encourage their intake throughout the day and ensure accessibility hygiene and safety conditions for the whole community. Consumption of tap water is more sustainable considering less waste production and a smaller ecological footprint. However, potable water is a scarce commodity that is often used inefficiently, so it is necessary to ensure a good management as well as a consumption monitoring. The main objective of the MySafeWater project is to promote the sustainable use of tap water, through the dissemination of good hydration practices, the implementation of saving measures and the monitoring of water savings in ISEL's laboratories and facilities. It is intended to promote a change in behaviour and attitudes throughout the ISEL community with a multiplier effect among families, in the professional environment where students are or will be inserted.
