Intended learning outcomes

Provide the students, future engineers integrated in the civil construction sector, the indispensable knowledge related to the technological aspects of construction, namely:
1. Introduction to BIM methodologies. It is intended to create the concept of global work through its early organization from conception (project), job preparation, manufacturing (production), planning, handling, assembly, connections, quality and costs.
2. Design, modeling and execution of LSF structures.
3. Understanding of the technical aspects related to the selection and application of precast concrete elements in construction.
4. Knowledge of wood products and technologies of the construction universe with wood. Design, pre-dimensioning, and execution of WF structures. Know the techniques of obtaining durability by design and construction.
5. Understanding the principles of dimensioning timber structures by Eurocode 5 and know how to verify safety related to ELU, ELS and fire.
