The Metallurgical and Metalworking industry is a strategic sector, with a high weight in exports, which generates employment and investment. Its strategy focuses on the qualification of human resources, development and innovation, inherent in the use of new materials and new equipment that guarantee high levels of productivity and efficiency, allowing companies to offer products in a competitive and sustainable way.
The postgraduate course in Advanced Manufacturing Processes (AFP) is a multidisciplinary course that addresses several of the new manufacturing technologies and their potential. The aim is to train highly qualified engineering professionals, capable of acting proactively in the design and implementation of differentiated manufacturing solutions and methodologies, which boost the competitiveness of companies.
The curriculum plan ensures the acquisition of practical skills in the field of advanced manufacturing processes, with a focus on the operation and optimization of the performance of CNC equipment.
Classes
The course lasts for 2 semesters, starting in February 2023.
The curricular plan covers curricular units of a theoretical-practical nature and laboratory practice. In all curricular units, the teaching methodology is based on the creation of a dynamic environment, focused on making students active elements in the transfer and construction of knowledge, involving them with the contents covered and stimulating their critical spirit. In particular, in the curricular units of a practical laboratory nature, the process of acquiring skills will be supported by the development of industrial environment simulation activities, based on carrying out practical work involving direct contact with laboratory equipment.
Classes will be held after work hours, weekly, from Wednesday to Friday, between 6:30 pm and 11:00 pm, and on Saturday, between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm
