Ricardo Luís received the PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal in 2015.
Currently, he is an Adjunct Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa (ISEL), Politécnico de Lisboa. He teaches the Electrical Machines courses (BSc degree), Energy Storage Systems and Electrical Machines Design (MSc degree).
Ricardo Luís develops his research activities in LCEC - Low Carbon Energy Conversion R&D Group (ISEL) and collaborates with the Green Energy and Smart Converters group of INESC-ID Lisboa (IST). His research interests include variable speed electrical generators, energy conversion, electrical machines design and energy storage systems.
