Rui Santos is a theoretical particle physicist. He is Professor Adjunto (tenured) at ISEL and invited Professor Auxiliar at the University of Lisbon (UL). He is a researcher at the Centre for Theoretical and Computational Physics at UL. He was an FCT postdoc at Royal Holloway University of London and a Marie Curie fellow at the University of Southampton. His research interests include Higgs physics, scalar extensions of the Standard Model, electroweak symmetry breaking, dark matter and vacuum structure. He is a convener of CERN’s “Neutral Extended Scalars” group and recipient of the IPL-CGD “Prémio de Excelência” award in 2018. He has published close to 80 papers in reference journals.
