Tânia Vaz has a bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine from Escola Superior de Tecnologia da Saúde de Lisboa - Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa (ESTeSL-IPL), a master's degree in Nuclear Medicine in the specialization area of Positron Emission Tomography by ESTeSL-IPL and she’s a doctoral student in Biomedical Engineering and Biophysics at Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa.

She is an Invited Assistant in the Chemical Engineering Department at Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa (ISEL) and is a lecturer in the curricular unit of Medical Imaging Technology of the Bachelor in Biomedical Engineering.
