Intended learning outcomes
Students who complete this course successfully will be able to:
- Understand and configure to solve the problem of the cycles between switches (switch) through the Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) and others (RSTP and MSTP) [IEEE 802.1Q-2014].
- Build and plan high-speed local area networks of medium size with redundant structure and solve the problem of fragmentation of traffic on local networks using virtual networks (VLAN).
- Plan of IP traffic routing structures on local networks and the Internet.
- Understand the internal routing protocols RIP, OSPF and BGP external and plan and configure the use of protocols within an autonomous system.
- Set advanced routing policies and interconnection of different internal and external routing protocols, to be able to analyze and correct configuration errors in network equipment.
- Policy Based Routing (PBR) as a way to influence the route of an IP packet based in the source address.
