Intended learning outcomes
After approval in the course unit, the student should have the ability to:
- Understanding the concept of probability and its axioms.
- Calculate simple and conditioned probabilities using the basic laws of probabilities and combinatorial calculus.
- Apply the concepts of probabilities in the evaluation of situations of uncertainty.
- Apply the acquired knowledge in discrete and continuous random variables in the analysis and resolution of practical problems.
- Identify the theoretical models studied in real situations.
- Model and simulate real situations using the theoretical models studied.
- Apply the knowledge acquired in Bayesian networks.
- Solve and simulate problems using R software.
