Students who successfully complete this course unit will be able to:

1. Understand the fundamental concepts associated with the interaction between systems;
2. Apply protocols and communication mechanisms in the development of distributed applications;
3. Use the technologies available in the Internet of Things;
4. Apply the distribution paradigms on both servers and clients;
5. Design distributed systems using Internet technologies and the client / server model;
6. Design Web applications using Java technology, Javascript and cloud programming in the context of Internet of Things;
7. Implement and verify the main security mechanisms in Web applications.
