Intended learning outcomes
Module 1 (Systems Engineering): Analysis of civil engineering systems in order to improve their performances using mathematical programming methods; ability to develop models and use quantitative methods to derive solutions that are able to explain suggested decisions.
Module 2 (Transportation Engineering): Brief notions about Complex Systems and the developing of networks in this framework. Analysis of Transport Systems as a particular case of complex systems. Discuss and identify fundamental concepts about Mobility as a complex social system.
