Between the 3rd and 5th of December 2024, the 1st Meeting of Researchers of the U! REKA European University, which had more than 100 participants. This meeting aimed to promote a moment of reflection between teachers and researchers from different areas of knowledge, to identify and define themes to be explored in collaborative projects, within the scope of the priority themes of the European university.
The Polytechnic of Lisbon was represented by 5 ISEL researchers, namely, António Serrador (DEETC/ISEL), Mário Mendes (DEM/ISEL), Miguel Minhalma (DEQ/ISEL), Nuno Datia (DEETC/ISEL), and also Cristina Cruz, from the Lisbon School of Education (ESELx).
The activities during the Research Days 2024 were organized around the three 3 Centers of Expertise (CoE) of the U! REKA European University:
- Climate Neutral Urban Communities
- Transition to Circular Society
- Innovative Governance & Citizen Engagement
Using collaborative and active methodologies, the researchers shared experiences and knowledge aligned with the values of U! REKA: Inclusion, Co-creation and Audacity.
This initiative allowed to create synergies between the different partners of the consortium, to identify and meet peers in the different teams with common interests and to expand and strengthen the network of contacts. New ideas in co-creation were also explored, which will be deepened in the coming months in the working groups that were set up.
