António Manuel Casaca is Professor Adjunto in the Physics Department at ISEL. He obtained a first degree in Physics (4 years) from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon; he also received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Physics from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon.
He is a researcher at the BioPhysics and Nanosystems Group, a research group belonging to the BioSystems and Integrative Sciences Institute (BioISI) of the University of Lisbon. His research interests include the electric and magnetic properties of advanced materials, such as high entropy alloys, magnetic semicondutors and superconductors.
He is also interested in the history of science and popular science. He is occasionally engaged in the training of physics teachers.
