Jaime Filipe Borges Puna has the BSc in Chemical Engineering at Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa (ISEL), MSc in Landscape and Environmental Planning at Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and PhD in Chemical Engineering, at Instituto Superior Técnico da Universidade de Lisboa.

Is Adjoint Professor on Chemical Engineering Department at ISEL, teaching several courses related with Chemical Technology scientific area, Bioenergy, and Energetic Sustainability, on Chemical Technology Section, developing his R&D scientific work on these subjects and, in heterogeneous catalysis. Is Integrated Researcher at CERENA, and member of Centro de Estudos de Eng.ª Quimica of ISEL.

Is responsible for the Chemical Technology Lab, and Specialized Member of Energy by Ordem dos Engenheiros, being also member of other Portuguese societies related with chemistry, engineering teaching, and hydrogen.

He has published several dozens of scientific articles on international peer-review journals, as well, book chapters, and articles on national and international scientific conferences with referee.
