Abstract:

The James Webb Space Telescope, NASA’s latest flagship mission, launched on December 25 2021, with the goal of studying a wide range of topics from first light and reionization to planetary systems and the origins of life, and everything in between. Webb’s unprecedented infrared sensitivity and high spatial resolution is already producing spectacular images. In this talk we will discuss Webb’s instruments and science themes as well as latest discoveries.
