Intended learning outcomes
Students who successfully complete this course unit are able to:
- Know the basic methods used in image processing.
- Know simple techniques of computer vision and its connection to the area of machine learning.
- Understand the importance of image processing and computer vision in the development of multimedia applications, namely those involving operations of object recognition, surveillance, and search for content indexing.
- Developing small projects using integrative methods of image processing and computer vision on a selected application area.
