On December 6th, ISEL students and scholarship holders João Silva (Master's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering - MCSE), Carlos Ribeiro (Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications and Computer Engineering - LETCE) and Inês Marques (Master's Degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering - METE), together with student Marta Ferreira (MCSE), presented their research and development projects to the engineering department and the administration of CTT and CTT Expresso. The session highlighted not only the innovation of the projects, but also the technical and communication skills of the participants.
The initiative underlines the importance of collaboration between academia and the business sector, strengthening the practical training of students and preparing them for the challenges of the labour market.
João Silva, one of the participants, shared his experience: "The opportunity to present our research to industry leaders has been invaluable. Work on these projects allowed us to gain experience with cutting-edge technology and develop essential skills for our future careers."
The continuous collaboration between the Department of Electronical Engineering, Telecommunications and Computers (DEETC) of ISEL and CTT demonstrates the positive impact of these partnerships in the advancement of technological innovation. This multidisciplinary project, which is now advancing to its third year, is coordinated by Professors António Serrador (DEETC/ISEL and FIT/ISEL), José Simão (DEETC/ISEL and FIT/ISEL), Matilde Pato (DEETC/ISEL and FIT/ISEL), Nuno Datia (DEETC/ISEL and FIT/ISEL) and Pedro Sampaio (DEETC/ISEL).
Scholarship programs are available to students interested in integrating projects with concrete industrial applications. Students who wish to participate in these research initiatives should consult the offers of research grants available here.
